I. How to read the model (general structure)
Series + Diameter Lead + Nut type + Precision + Preload + Length
1) Common series codes
- SFU / SFS: External circulation, flange nut (most widely-used)
- SFI: Internal circulation, compact & low-noise
- SFE: High-speed large-lead type
- BK / BF: Support units (BK: fixed-end; BF: floating-end)
2) Precision grades
- C0～C5: Ground grade (machine tools / high-precision; C5 is common)
- C7～C10: Rolled grade (automation / linear slides; C7 is most common)
3) Preload grades (for backlash elimination)
- Z0: No preload (light-load application)
- Z1: Light preload (general-purpose)
- Z2: Medium preload (heavy-load / high-rigidity)
II. Quick selection guide
- Ordinary slides & automation modules: SFU series, C7 precision, Z1 light preload
- Machine tools & precision positioning: Ground C5, Z1 / Z2 preload
- Require fast motion: choose large lead (10, 20); Require high thrust: choose small lead (5)
- Support unit matching: BK fixed-end at one side, BF floating-end at the other to absorb thermal expansion.
